Due to residual runoff from upstream of Possum Kingdom Lake, the Brazos River Authority will reopened one gate at Possum Kingdom Lake's Morris Sheppard Day, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, near midday for a release of about 8,900 cubic feet per second. The gate will remain open for about 24 hours.

For 30 days, the BRA will be taking public comment on revisions to its Drought Contingency Plan. The DCP and its implementation are required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with updates every 5 years. The deadline for comments is May 12. For more, click the photo.
