Lake Limestone Public Use Areas

Each Public Use Areas has restrooms, waste containers, security lighting, parking, mowing & maintenance. Some locations have additional facilities.


Sterling Robertson Dam - Public Use Area #1

Located at the lake office near the dam. There is no drinking water at this site. Also located at this public use area are: a boat launching ramp, courtesy dock, picnic tables, rest rooms, and group facilities. NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

From GROESBECK from TX164: FM937 SE 19.3 miles; Sterling C. Robertson Dam Rd East 2.5 miles to west side of Lake Limestone.


Public Use Area #2

Primitive camping area on 17 acres. There is a 14-day limit for campers in this area. Fish, boat launching ramp, picnic tables, and restrooms. No drinking water available at this site.

From GROESBECK from TX164: FM937 SE 11.3 miles; FM3371 E & N 3.6 miles to West side of Lake Limestone.


Limestone County Park - Public Use Area #3

Primitive camping area on 25 acres. There is a 14 day limit for campers in this area. Fishing, a boat launching ramp and picnic tables available. No drinking water available.

From GROESBECK from TX164: FM937 SE 11.3 miles; FM3371 E & N 5 miles to East side of Lake Limestone.


Public Use Area #5

Primitive Camping area on 10 acres. There is a 7-day limit for campers in this area. Boat launching ramp, fishing pier, courtesy docks, picnic tables, group facilities, and restrooms available. No drinking water available at this site.

From US 79: FM 1146 N 6.7 miles; local road West 1.8 miles to East end of dam. On Lake Limestone.
