RE: Brazos River Authority System Rate Customer Workshop
You are cordially invited to attend a System Rate Customer Workshop (Workshop) on Thursday, May 29, 2014. The Workshop will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Brazos River Authority's (BRA) Central Office in Waco,
Texas, located at 4600 Cobbs Drive (map enclosed).
The purpose of the Workshop is to provide our customers with an overview of how we are formulating the Fiscal Year 2015 (FY 2015) System Rate and the critical assumptions being used in our rate making
process for raw water sales. The presentation my staff will discuss at the Workshop will be essentially the same as the information discussed with our Board of Directors at its preliminary
Supporting documentation and information regarding the contemplated FY 2015 System Rate will be made available to you prior to the Workshop. These materials will be available electronically on the BRA
website at the following link: www.brazos.org/customer-reports.asp. Please check this link as we near the Workshop date for additional materials that may be posted for review.
Additionally, in an effort to promote productivity, the BRA will accept questions in advance of the Workshop. Please forward your questions to the
BRA’s CFO, Mr. John Hawes, at email@example.com.
We believe this Workshop will strengthen the transparency of the BRA’s business activities and provide our System Rate customers an early opportunity to ask questions about our
rate making and budgeting processes. This meeting will also lay the foundation for updates on BRA projects and related financial matters you will hear about at our Annual
Customer meetings to be held later this year.
My staff and I are pleased to incorporate this Workshop into our business practices, as we are committed to building greater communication and consensus among all of our customers.
Please RSVP to my office by calling (254) 761-3194 or by e-mailing Ms. Nancy Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to this opportunity to collectively discuss our
proposed System Rate for FY 2015.
