Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs):
Below is a link to the newly proposed CAFO rules in the Texas Register. The proposed rules may be found on pages 78 - 129. The rules will amend the Texas Administrative Code Chapter 321 Subchapter B:

TCEQ's commissioners approved the rules at the Feb. 25, 2004 meeting. The rules were published in the Texas Register on Mar. 12th for a 30-day public comment period. Government code requires the commission to adopt the rules within six months of posting in the Texas Register , which would make the rules effective as of September 12th, 2004.

Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Plan for the North Bosque Watershed:
The North Bosque River TMDL Project was established to address nutrient loading in the North Bosque Watershed. In February of 2001, TCEQ adopted two Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for Phosphorous. By December of 2002, an implementation plan was adopted for the TMDLs. TCEQ has begun efforts to improve the model analyses which may bring changes to the TMDLs and/or the Implementation Plan. Refined model results are expected in 2006.
