Watershed Task Force
ORGANIZATION
The Watershed Task Force (WTF) is composed of
four committees: Municipal, Industrial, Agricultural, and
Public Interest. Technical support to the WTF is provided
by the various state and federal agencies. See Figure 1 below
for an illustration of the organizational structure.

FUNCTIONING
The WTF functions according to the following
guidelines:
. Decisions of the WTF are by general agreement;
i.e., the group works toward a decision/recommendation that
best represents the combined opinion/preference of all WTF
members. The groups actions may not be the preferred actions
of all members, but they are not considered to be significantly
adverse or inappropriate by any member of the WTF.
. No Steering Committee
will be formed. This
decision can be reconsidered at a later date if determined
to be appropriate.
. Committees may
meet prior to each meeting of the WTF to discuss the topics
being considered for recommendations. A
spokesman is appointed by each committee to summarize the
factors relevant to the discussion topic that are most significant
to their respective committee.
. WTF members may
send alternates to participate in WTF meetings. The
alternates should have sufficient knowledge of the goals
of the project, the technical data developed by the project,
and previous discussions of the WTF to be effective participants.
. Additional members may be added to a committee
based on the recommendation of the respective committee and
approval by the WTF.
