BRA Board of Directors elects Granbury, Waco directors for positions
The Board elected a member from Granbury and another from Waco to serve as the Assistant Presiding Officer and Secretary.
Each will serve for two years or until a successor is selected.

Weather update: Where is the drought now?
The rain we so desperately needed did arrive, but the areas of the basin with the lowest reservoir levels have seen
little to no rain and no improvement to the lakes, rivers or tributaries in that area. While some areas of the basin
have seen lush green landscapes and full to nearly full reservoirs, other areas have seen dry landscapes and reservoirs
with major deficits.

With lake levels in some areas of the state remaining just above 50 percent and hundreds of cities,
farms and manufacturers all vying for access to the same shrinking pool of water, how do you know

From desk to tap
Kacy Zycha had already created and molded a position she loved with the BRA, when she
realized that she could do more. By juggling multiple aspects of her life outside of work,
she managed to become the only licensed female water treatment operator at the Williamson County plant.
